“Toss it off in a quaff, lads,” Malfoy muttered, and watched those of the Inner Circle drain their tumblers in one swig.
In pubs throughout Britain, those assembled raised toasts of celebration, whispering the name 'Harry Potter'.
In the halls of the Manor, the purest were gathered in mourning, to drink as the fire crackled bitterly, burning away at the pages of the Prophet. But the headlines still taunted them all from the flames.
“Drink the health of the Devil,” Bella murmured, swirling the drink in her glass.
“To the Dark Lord,” one answered.
“Here, here.”
