There are no manuals for greatness, Salazar knows this, sitting in the dark parlor, raking hands through his dark hair. Frustration does not come easily, not to him, but to be chased out of his own school! It chafes, like the rough wood of a splintered wand over an open wound, to not be heard, to suffer the fall for defending blood purity, to see all his ambitions dashed to the wind.
His eyes flicker to the egg, hatching beneath a toad, legend turned reality. There are no manuals for revenge either but, this time, it comes naturally as breathing.
