"Smooch" & "Morning After"

Author's Note: x-posted to my fanfiction/fic rec blog. Goes with second drabble. I read the prompt as 'smooch', so this is what happened. But I figure it's also decidedly not smooth on Harry's part, so it still works. :)
What the hell is Potter doing? If he’s going attempt an insult, he’d better say it before I get bored.
“Cat got your tongue, Potter?” I prompt, waving an arm in his gobsmacked expression. “Well?”
“Er-” He responds eloquently. “Um...”
“Really? Can’t think up something better than that?” His face reddens, but now he looks hungry. I wonder if he missed out on the blackberry jam this morning. I almost recommend it, but then I remember he’s Potter. The way he’s staring makes my wonder if I have some left on my lips. And then he launches himself at me.

Is it normal to feel this skittish the morning after? It’s not even the morning after, because all we did was kiss. I don’t know what possessed me. Maybe Voldemort. But that brings up awkward implications about Malfoy and him, so let’s not think about it.
“Potter!” Of course Malfoy finds me.
“What was that Hermione? Did you say late? Oh, well, better run then.” I say loudly. Hermione gives me an odd look, falling back to walk with Ginny.
“Potter!” He calls again, only this time he is right beside me. And then he slams me into the wall.
