(no subject)
i don't know if this is allowed. but i'm gonna go for it anyway. yesterday my friend and i went into the city to go visit a art exhibit. we were heading to 86th st. and were by times square and i remembered hearing that the goblet premier was saturday on west 54th. so we decided to trek over and then head to the met, thinking that maybe we'd see some of our favorite actors and whatever.
we got so much more.
as we were walking down 54th i jumped up and down and screamed, just to get it out of my system, and this guy in a suit with a pass around his neck walks over to the two of us. the conversation between us went like this --->
man: is it just the two of you?
me -meg-: yes...?
man: and your going to premier?
me: yea-huh...? -odd look-
-man reaches into his jacket.-
man: ok well i have these two screening passes, you get to sit in the front row and walk the red carpet but you cannot scream or flip out.
-me and my friend, trisha, just stare dumbly at the passes-
me: what? are you serious?! seriously serious? -normally i would say something about how if he was anymore serious, than maybe his last name would be black. but this was not the time for it-
man: yes i am. do want the tickets?
-me and my friend scream and i hug the man-
me: thankyouthankyouthankyou. -screaming jumping and hugging followed-
then some people who were walking pass and saw what had happened asked if had anymore tickets, but he said they were the last two. he gave me his cell number and has us walk the carpet at 3:15. twas amazing.
we got in to the theater right after katie -who looked stunning.- and they had us check our camera once we were in there, which was ok because my friend has a camera phone. but anyway. we got in and they gave us complimentary soda and pop corn. everyone was standing around and then they ushered us in to the theatre -the cast was in a room separate from everyone else. which is kewl. they don't need to be mobbed the day of their premier-
i'm not going to bore you with the details of sitting there and looking around compulsively. but after about 45 minutes the lights started dimming and behind us people were screaming and talking loudly -because we were front row. there was no one in front of us. in the middle of front bloody row, i'm still shell shocked- and this women walks up to the front with a mic.
yea. all the producers, screen writers, the director and um, daniel, emma and rupert walk up to the front. right in front. as in in front of me.
gah. but i stayed cool calm and composed. of which i'm proud of because i was in plain sight. but i did have a moment, where i cheered because they mentioned rowling and everyone kind of looked at me. i did this cheesy shrug thing and thumbs up. dan returned the action...-moment-
i felt special. but after a little speech from everyone the movie came up.
bandsahAMAZINGsfdiuahf i will not post a single thing about the movie beyond that it was amazing. go see at as soon as possible. i'm going to see it on IMAX on friday.

i have some pictures, from my friends camera phone, there kind of blurry, but you get the feel of it -le shrug- it was the best i could do.
it was honestly the most amazingly kewl thing ever. after the movie, one of the phelps twins -no, i can't tell them apart. i think that makes me a bad person, but i love their brown hair- was standing in the lobby right outside the rest rooms. he was on the phone when i went in, but when i came out, he was just kind of standing there. so i went over and told him that i was thought the movie was fantabulous. my friend had gone outside to call our friend so NO CAMERA PHONE. but that was ok. because i got a hug. and i didnt have to ask, he just kind of hugged me.
