one more day
Holy heaps of job listings, Batman!
There were 25 NHL jobs listed today. Many of them were internships and only one was something I'll apply for (in-game Emcee for the Coyotes, doubt I'll even be considered, but why not?) but wow that was a lot of job openings. The Canucks are looking for all sorts of game-day staff- concessions, cleaning crew, operations (like changeovers and such) if anyone is interested. ;)
Morgan is coming tomorrow!!!!!
I power-washed the deck for 3 hours today. It's still only about 1/3 complete though. Ugh. Our deck is huge and needs to be re-stained. (We just did it 2 years ago but it didn't cure properly last time so it's worn out and needs to be redone.) But first it needs to be cleaned and have the old stuff washed off so that's what I was doing. Add to the fact that I worked on it for an hour or so yesterday and Alex did it for a while too.. yeah we're gonna be at it for a while.
But Morgan is coming tomorrow! :) I haven't seen her since December, so it should be quite fun! And this weekend is the Taste of Buffalo so we can go downtown and try some yummy Buffalo food and such.. then Sunday it's off to Toronto to check that out (Morgan has never been there) for the day and spend the night there, so we can be there for the U2 concert on Monday. It's going to be a fun few days!
And we're gearing up for a new play- it's "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood" and it's a play for kids.. I'm directing, but I'm actually okay with it because I really like this play and I have a vision for it. :) It should be a lot of fun.. now we just need enough people. We had a few come tonight, then have auditions tomorrow and also on Tuesday of next week so we should be fine. I'm excited.
