Weather has conspired to keep me here for an extra day. It's snowy in Buffalo but there are flights leaving. However, the east coast is getting hammered by yet another snow/wind/rain storm and Charlotte is not a good place to be right now so my flight was canceled. Apparently USAirways doesn't have any hubs in the middle of the country (the only place not being snowed on) so there is no re-routing that way and I can't leave until tomorrow. But the good news is that the weather is supposed to settle down by tomorrow so I should be able to get out of here in decent order. My schedule is actually pretty similar to what I was supposed to be doing today, only it's a day later.
But we had nothing that we HAD to be in NZ for on Sunday so I will get there Monday and all will be well. C'est la vie. And besides, I know planes fly in windy conditions, but I'd rather not experience it. The wind is pretty gusty today but it's supposed to be more chill tomorrow. Phew.
So I should do something productive today- something I ran out of time for yesterday. Maybe I'll call the Blue Jackets to follow up on the application I sent- but today is a game day so maybe that's not a good idea. I just feel like this could be a cool opportunity and I don't want to miss it! I should have called yesterday but I was running around all day like an idiot. Yeesh.
