ugh
I feel a headache coming on. (again. I had a headache off and on all day Tuesday and woke up with one yesterday. It went away in the evening but it's creeping again and I'm not happy! I think it's sinus-related. Gross.)
I tried to eat some oatmeal for breakfast this morning. In my ongoing attempt to eat healthier foods, I really need to jazz up my breakfasts. I don't eat cereal because (for reasons still unknown but quite real and annoying) milk doesn't seem to agree with me. (well, New York milk doesn't- I never had this problem before I moved here) so cereal is not a choice. I don't like eggs, no matter how many times I've tried them, so that's not an option. Sometimes I just eat toast with a little cinnamon, that's decent. But I thought I would try oatmeal, since it's filling and pretty healthy and stuff. I bought some flavors and I was all set to give it a go, since I don't remember the last time I had it. I bought this yummy-sounding cinnamon roll flavor and made it this morning. Yuck. Even with the cinnamon, there's an aftertaste and oatmeal has the consistency of wet cardboard (and the aftertaste is very papery.) it wasn't working well for me. Maybe if I could make it stay a little crunchier? Any ideas?
In other news I have this gross blood blister on my finger. I pinched it adjusting a microphone stand last night. I'm helping backstage for the Winterfest Pageant here in town- high school seniors compete to be King and Queen of the Winterfest. It's pretty neat- they have to perform a talent and there are some talented kids in this town. :) But yeah, my finger hurts and I'm being whiny. I'll get over it.
And while I'm whining, let me share with you a picture of my arm-
That's the mark left from the band-aid they gave me yesterday from the shot. WTF? My skin is so dumb. I can't use regular band-aids because the latex gives me a rash, and now even the latex-free ones leave a nice red band-aid shaped mark. Gross. And my arm is sore from the shot. Boooo. (I'm a mess today, non?)
The Sabres destroyed the Lightning on Tuesday night- 7-4, after being down 3-1 going into the 3rd period. I watched the 2nd period but not the 3rd (I wasn't annoyed with them, but I was done exercising and really wanted a shower) so I was shocked when I saw the final score.
I had crazy dreams last night. The first one was not long after I went to bed- I was just drifting off to sleep and starting to dream- in the dream I was driving. I looked away from the road for a sec and when I looked back, I was about to run into the back of a semi-trailer! I woke up right before impact with my heart pounding.. then I realized it was just a dream and went back to sleep. Yeeks.
Later I had this wild dream about seeing these 2 crazy looking fighter planes doing all sorts of insane maneuvers.. but it wasn't an air show, they were just doing drills. I had my video camera out recording. It was weird. Then in the same dream, I watched a space shuttle launch. That was really nifty.
Today I'm going to print out a paper version of my resume' and some marketing ideas and send it to the Blue Jackets about that job I applied for last week. Can't hurt, ya know?
