worn out

I am tired. I stay up too late (watching my Sharpe DVDs, -- and I ordered sets 2 and 3 so woohooo!) and have been running like crazy since Thursday since my bro-in-law and sister are out of town (they get back today) so I've been watching the kids and running things here. And we are busy people! So yeah.. there's that. I've still been trying to exercise and watch my calories and I've done okay the last few days.. let's see:

Thursday- didn't count, didn't exercise because we were gone from 8AM-5PM, came home, made dinner and went to a meeting from 6:30-9PM. Put the kids to bed and relaxed finally.

Friday- counted calories AND exercised, since the day was more chill. Went to see "School House Rock!" that the middle school was performing. It was awesome. :)

Saturday- another early morning- did count calories but didn't do any structured exercise because went sledding with the kids for 2 hours that evening with Cub Scouts. It was quite fun and a very decent workout.

Sunday- counted calories, even though we ate junk food for dinner.. and exercised- squeezed it in between church, a 4-hr meeting, dinner and bedtime. PHEW. another long day.

So far today I've done pretty well on the calories but haven't exercised yet.. don't know when it's going to fit either. If I go now, I can get something done before scouts tonight.. so I should flee!

And all of this is to say that in 2 weeks I have lost 2 pounds. That's not very fair. I've been trying super hard to make some positive changes in my body and it's not cooperating with me. Ugh. Doesn't mean I'm going to quit, but I guess I should just know that no matter what I do, it won't ever be easy and one of those things where "the pounds just melt off" because it's not happening. How very discouraging.

In other news.. I have an appt to see the Doctor on Wednesday- it's just a physical I guess and I'm a "new patient" since I haven't been there in 4 years. (no reason to go so I never went, ya know?) I don't know when you should start having annual physicals? But since my insurance doesn't cover anything up to $1500 (it's basically for serious issues only) I see no particular reason to visit the doctor if I'm not sick. I hope he doesn't yell at me for that.. LOL And hopefully he can give me something that will help with the motion-sickness issue, which is what started this whole gig. Yeesh.

Okay, off to exercise!
