i went to the NU/Canisus game tonight, it was sweet. Canisus is a school in Buffalo, about the size of NU and they have a pretty decent rivalry going on- they arent in the same conf. in hockey but still, its pretty intense when they play. thursday night, NU won the game 6-3, and tonight was really tight. the final was 3-3 but wow the game was awsome. there were so many ppl there. well i say that, the place holds 1600 and there were at least that many. good times. the teams played really well, there was a ton of hitting and general roughing all around. i guess there was some sort of fight at the end of the game- i couldnt see what was going on, maybe i can catch an update from someone. fighting is illegal in college hockey- i know its a game misconduct and possibly suspension from the next game, not sure on that one though.
NU's team is quality though- the boys are so FAST! college hockey is the way to go dude, no red line, so they can make these wild long passes which leads to a lot of odd-man rushes and breakaways. very exciting to watch. though there was this dude from Canisus that was so fast it seemed like he sprouted wings or something..
good times. lots of nice lookin fellas in the crowd too. then there were these 2 guys behind me talking and one of them talked just like Trevor. it was freaky and a little sad. it was cool to go to a game just to see the game, defintely fun. i shall have to do this more often. and i still havent seen the boys lose- 4 games now. they scored the first goal tonight right after i got there (were down 1-0 before that and i was late to the game)
oh yes and the Bombers won tonight! yippie and much yay for that, it happens rarely enough. 4-2 against Peoria again. woohoo. i wonder how many ppl were there, after last night.. i doubt it will have made any difference, it was prolly back to the usual 2500 or so. but we can dream, eh?
and Richard had 2 more assists tonight for the Cyclones, who lost to Atlantic City (Preston Mizzi scored a goal and had at least one assist) by a score of 7-3.
thats all the hockey i have in me for now. we'll see what tomorrow brings. peace out yall. :)
