I just made the tastiest supper- it was shrimp with a marinade of spicy mustard, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and fresh basil(MMM). Then I broiled them on skewers. you could also grill it too, but I don't grill and no one else is home. broiling works just fine for this. :)
then I made this bread- melt butter and saute green onions and garlic in it. add thyme, cumin, oregano and red pepper flakes, then spread that on french bread. top with cheese and bake until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted. it's amazing!
Now I am full and happy. yay food!
I got my new cell phone yesterday and I like it SO MUCH better than that other one. My only beef is that the battery seems to be weak- maybe the batteries just don't like me or something? it's odd but the phone itself is great. and it's SMALL! word.
I also got both pairs of sandals I ordered. I realy like the ones that I found on that 6pm website, they fit very well. The other ones, that I bought from ebay are a bit narrow- and they pinch my ghetto little toe. It's sad beacuse other than that they really fit well and are comfortable. And I bought those on ebay so there is no returning them anyway so I may try to break 'em in or something.
it has been raining SO MUCH lately that it's crazy! We had a big storm today with heavy rain and a bit of hail even. It knocked down a tree on the driveway. It was a small one but I had to drag it all the way down. and of course the grass is too wet to mow, even though I need to do that this week too. yeeks. oh man and there was one bolt of lightning that was super close and I watched it come from the sky to the ground, then the thunder was immediate- and I about jumped out of my skin cuz I was out on the deck checkingon the plants.
anyway thats life. not much is new. Tomorrow is my mom's birthday and I even have a card for her that I forgot to send so it will be late. Oh well. c'est la vie. my sis Dani is coming for the weekend and the Rochester Air show. That's gonna be sweeeeeeet! :)
I got a phone call today from someone in Pasadena CA. I didn't answer cuz I was driving but that was odd. I don't know anyone there. At least I don't think so? And last week or the week before was a call from Burlington, VT. I do know someone who lives in Burlington but I doubt he'd be calling me. Who knows?
I'm out. Gotta update my Hockey blog with this week's hockey separated at birth. heh heh heh
