Sabres
Brian Campbell is no longer a Sabre. I'm totally okay with this. He wasn't acting like he wanted to be here anymore (whatever he might say to the contrary- he clearly didn't actually want to stay here if he wasn't willing to sign for 3 years at 5.5 million + per year! bullshit my man) The Sabres needed to trade him so they didn't get jacked this summer when they refused to bow to his ridiculously high demands (OVER-RATED) and he walked as a free agent. Instead they got Steve Bernier, a hard-hitting, decent and could get better- shows lots of upside- forward. YAY!
Bernier had 2 goals tonight. Hells yeah. Welcome to Buffalo my man. The Sabres busted an 8-4 win over Nashville. It was crazy. ANd feisty. 7 different goal scorers. :) I like it. They played very well, despite almost blowing a 3-goal lead (AGAIN), but they rebounded nicely after Nashville's 2nd goal and jsut kept rollin. The fellas were feisty tonight. I like that. Roy was all up in some people's grills. It was hot. I love Scrappy Roy. He makes me happy. :) He scored a goal and had an assist as well.
Good times in Sabreland tonight. (and we're back in 8th place in the standings yay)
I need to write a long rambly hockey post soon but it hasn't happened yet. And i need to find a song I can parody to the idea of "Buffalo: Almost But Not Quite" because that's our motto. LOL
hrm. Tomorrow I am taking Benjamin skating for the first time. We'll see what happens. He's only 2 but I think he's big enough to try it at least. And maybe the Sabres will be practicing there! (if we're lucky and we usually aren't but who knows?) I guess we will find out. :)
