The Sabres won 5-1 tonight against Ottawa! Ottawa, who is the best team in the East and 3rd overall. The Sabres OWNED them tonight. It was frickin sick. I love it. They were going hard to the net all night and playing SMART, tough hockey in both ends. It was awsome. Vanek.. yeah Thomas VANEK had a hat trick! (that's funny cuz I told Stephen tonight at supper that Royzie was going to get it but it was his linemate Vanek heh) Roy was right there for 2 of the goals though, which is a good thing. And Miller stood up on his end to keep it real for the fellas. It was just a hell of a win, and no better time to do it. It's always nice to beat Ottawa and Skanky Rude Ray Emery. Hah! Yaaaaay Sabres!
Annnnndd..... Buffalo is now in a playoff spot!!! ANd only 7 pts out of 2nd place I think? Wooohooo!
It's snowing/windy/icy outside. We're supposed to get 1/4 inch of ice. Probably not enough to make anything fun like ice in my yard to skate on, just enough to make everything slippery and gross.
Oh and guess what? My headlight burned out. Again. I don't remember if I documeneted all this jazz- here we go.
back in.... I think it was october? One of my headlights burned out. No biggie, they'd been there since I got the car 5 yrs ago, it happens. I go to the store to get new ones, and decide to bust the superbright fancy Silverstar lights- frickin $20- EACH! But I figure it's worth it to get the nicer ones cuz they'll be better and probably last longer, etc. Right? WRONG! One of them burned out January 2. I was a little pissed but at the same time I had a crack in my windshield that appeared randomly so that was weird too. I was mad and went to Autozone to see if they could to anything about it, they said no. Grr. I bought the new light for $20. Now.. a month later my other light is out. Bullshit. So this time, I went to a differnet place, a local store just for the hell of it. Tell the guy what I need, but that I don't want that silverstar crap and he comes back with some bulbs. I leave, come home and realize that theya re the wrong size, completely. I tried to retuen them last night but they closed at 5:30. Meanwhile I'm driving with one headlight. (and singing the Wallflowers song the whole time LOL) So I went BACK to Autozone and bought 2 $10 normal halogen bulbs and decided to switch back because OBVIOUSLY there is something wrong with those things.
Moral of the Story? DON'T BUY SILVERSTAR HEADLIGHTS unless you have a fancy car or something. They are a WASTE OF MONEY. I have now spent $80 when I could have spent $20. ARGH.
Other than that, life is decent. It's VERY cold here but it's February in WNY. What else do you expect? LOL
and 'Nee called today! That was fun. I hadn't talked to her in quite a while so it was great to hear her voice again. :) only 4 months till she comes home on leave. Wahooooo! :):)
Aight, I've got to try and finish my book tonight. Funny how in a month I didn't even get through one book, but in a week and a half I've plowed through 3.
