Eeks. I was so thrilled last night but it just evaporated. Tonight was a tough night for the Sabres. I didn't watch the whole game (life kinda gets in the way sometimes, ya know?) but what I saw was enough.. and that was some rough stuff. They lost, 4-2. (I'm happy for you,
ptc555 but man we could have at least played a little better!) Luckily, one of the goals was Dan Paille, who I just added to my fantasty team. (who, btw are having the WORST week of their lives! I have 4 goals. 4. All of them are from Sabres. WOW.)
Yeah, the only bright spot of the night was this rather amusing lil profile they did on Roy and his house. (I want the Sabres to post it on the website, and if/when they do, I'll share the link with y'all) He cracks me up. He was actin all like a rock star on Cribs or something LOL> But I laughed the most about how he has a guitar but doesn't know how to play it.. but he should learn because "the ladies really like it" or something to that effect. it reminds me of when I had Shane Bendera and Mike Renzi of the Bombers on the radio show and they kept making comments "to all the ladies out there". Hysterical. Just shows ya that NHL or ECHL, hockey players are pretty similar. LOL
I do love Royzie and of course I was mad squeeing over that segment. Lucky for me, I was already DVRing the game and that is now safely immortalized on my Sabres dvd. :) Please excuse my girlie silliness where Roy is concerned, but I can't help it. I like the guy for his hockey skills and it's not my fault he's HOT! (even if he is a total fool) LOL And I think he might have more condiments in his fridge than we do. (a very impressive feat, trust me.) And there didn't seem to be much food in there- a lot of Red Bull (I don't know how ppl drink that shit, it tastes like the worst kind of cough medicine I can imagine), some beer, and 1290889745 condiments. But he says that he cooks.. that's hot!!
Okay seriously, I'm done. I promise.
OH and is it just me or did it seem like RJ and Robi were a little obsessed with Roy's shoulders? LOL they made sooo many comments on how he was wearing extra padding, etc. Now I am a little obsessed with all of Royzie but for different reasons. He really isn't at 100% though, you can tell cuz he kept shying away from contact. Not that he wasn't making plays, but that he could have been hitting and wasn't, and that's not his usual style. You can also tell in the way he's been strugglin with faceoffs. He's usually decent-averages just under 9 wins per game- the league best is 14, so that's not terrible. Tonight he was 2/16. Not very good at all. So hopefully in the next few games he can get that back because I NEED him to win faceoffs for me. This week is dead for fantasy hockey, but next week isnt... yet. yeesh.
Moving on...not much. It snowed quite a bit today. I didn't leave the house. It was kind of a chill day all around. I moved a bunch of junk from the dvr to dvds (always a boring and time-consuming job) and played online a bit. NOthing exciting going on here. Tomorrow is church (I really should get to bed) and then tomorrow night we've got high school religious ed stuff which I help with so yeah, should be thrilling.
Stay Tuned for an upcoming entry of hockey players I randomly like, randomly hate, and grudgingly respect, inspired by
This post by Heather B over at Top Shelf. her blog is great, you should check it out if you want to know what's going on with the Sabres. Anyway I'll get to that post eventually but I don't have enough time now to get through it all, perhaps tomorrow.
I have no more to add so I'm just gonna peace out now. G'night.
