whoooa cool!
guys, today at the Zoo, I totally talked to Rob Ray! (If you don't know who he is- here's his wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_Ray but he is a former Sabres enforcer. He was/is very involved in the community in B-lo and does a lot of studio analyzing/interviewish work for the Sabres network)
So here's how it worked. I went to the zoo with Christopher and Benjamin. We're looking at the sea lions.. there were some other people there, then they left. This this couple with 2 kids comes down. And something about the guy's voice made me look up- it was ROB RAY! I looked at him like WHOOOOAAA and he kinda looked back at me like "yeah I'm Rob Ray. I know you know who I am."
and then I looked back and smiled like "yeah I know and I'm gonna be cool about cuz you're here with your fam and stuff but WHOA".
All of that without actually talking. I said something about the sea lions and we went on about our life. I was all SQUEEE inside, but it's all good. We saw them again later, and talked about monkeys but again.. and he was again with the look like.. yeah you are cool for not making a scene abotu my being here.
So I felt good about that. And I talked with ROB RAY! Hehehe
other than that, today was a pretty normal sort of day. I got my CSoul cd (Hints, Allegations and Things Left Unsaid) and it's pretty decent. There are some weird songs and some that sound totally like the 90s (in the bad way) but some are really great. Of course "Shine" is brilliant and I really like "Good NIght, Good Guy" and "All". And really I feel like a loser calling myself a "fan" without actually owning all of the discs. So yeah, I'm working on that!
