why don't you go find out?

So maybe I should update, seeing as I haven't done so since last wednesday..

I don't know where last week (or the weekend, for that matter) went! Time is flying right now, and that's mostly okay by me because as we progress, the weather gets nicer and I get closer to finding out whether or not I made the cut for the CHL job fair! (argh these people make me insane, they posted the job fair application a MONTH before it had to be turned in.. I finished it up around the beginning of March and I still have to wait until APril 1 to find out if I'm even going!) And that's slightly annoying because then I only have 2 weeks to find a plane ticket and hotel and all that jazz which is not the end of the world but it's easier and sometimes cheaper with more time to prepare but whatev.... no sense stressing about it.

phew. So let's see.. I worked Lacrosse on Friday, that sucked. Well the team was way strugglin and I felt so bad for them because it was 12 degrees and SNOWING with this nasty cold wind.. and they lost 15-6 or some terrible score like that. But the best thing about the game is that they are kinda short. so yay for that! LOL I worked a game on Sunday too, it was still cold but sunny at least and Niagara managed to win by a score of 12-2 so that was nice. It's such a weird sport but I have a lot of resepct for those girls being able to run like they do and handle the nastywetcoldness of a Buffalo late winter/spring. LOL

ANd my sister Brett (bshorty02 came to visit us this weekend! That was grand, it is always fun to see Brett. Friday night we watched "The Rocketeer" which I found from the library last week on a whim.. I love that movie. We used to have it on tape but the tape got all jacked up smoe years ago so it had been some time since the last viewing. But I have to say.. and I think my fam will agree with this one, that "The Rocketeer" is probably quoted more than any other movie we have watched so little. I mean, we quote movies ALL THE TIME but usually they are the ones we've seen 2093834980574895 times.. but that one just isn't in the same realm of watched-ness yet quite in the same realm of quoted-ness. strange, eh? still it's a great flick and very entertaining. :)

Saturday we just hung aorund the house and played card games and watched movies. It was grand. We watched Weird Al's bizarro old movie "UHF" which is random as anything but amusing enough, and also checked Newsies and some of the behind-the-scenes stuff from the dvd, which is totally cool. I <3333 Newsies like whoa. If you haven't seen it, YOU SHOULD. And the music is just incredible. :)

And in between it all, Leah, Brett and I went bowling with some of Leah's friends. That was fun. I am hideously inept at bowling but it is still rather enjoyable generally. One of these days I really just need to get wasted and go bowling, I might be better at it! LOL plus I just think it would be funny..

St. Patty's day was fine.. I wore green and that 4-leaf clover shirt I bought- it's so cute..teehee and yeah. I didn't eat any Irish food (not being a fan of corned beef and cabbage) and didn't drink any green beer either. LOL But I'm not (really) Irish, though I guess my grandmother's mother was Irish, so yeah. no worries. I wore my green and that was enough. :)

Then Sunday I worked again and that was about. Brett went back home and now life is back to normal. I have lacrosse again this sunday and then baseball starts next weekend!

so yeah thats about life from me. I'm sorry I've been so sporadic with the posting but eh.. I've been feelig anti-computer-social lately for no real reason. BUt never fear, I still love all of YOU!

job fair, fat fam, movies, niagara
