well damn
So... I've got good news and bad news. Let's do the good first. IT was a fun weekend. I had a good time with Heather, and that was excellent. It's odd that I've been friends with someone for 2/3 of my life! that is a long frickin time. but its GOOD. it was quality to spend some time with her.
then, saturday night, I met up with Danni (avaio) and Erin (sweet_cheeks14) for some WSU hockey! It was most excellent. THe Raiders beat Middle Tennessee 14-0. I almost felt bad for them.. well I did feel bad for the goalie, cuz.. *checks website cuz I know NONE of these boys* Boggs or Fleck scored 2 goals in the exact same place, right in a row. top shelf, stick side. it was sick. so yeah, quality hockey was had.
I also chatted with Gary- the advisor for the team. Great guy. AND he said the boys are playing net Saturday (which I knew) and it's at the Nutt so they're doing a ceremony beforehand recognizing their ACHAIII National Championship! from last year. They get a banner in the Nutter Center. It's soooooo cool! And I'm going to the game. wheeeee! I think Morgan will be able to join me, and Danni may come up to Dayton as well. excellent.
after the game we went out for wings and had a good time. I love my friends. and spending time with Heather on Fri/Sat and then Danni (who made the drive to dayton to see me *I feel so loved!*) and Erin (who read that I was going to the game and called me up) just re-enforced what I've been saying about my real friends. I have amazing friends. And with great friends, why do I need to try and hold on to someone who has clearly moved on? I don't. I don't need her. YAY!
So to all of you, those that I saw this weekend, and those I didn't, but talk to all the time- I LOVE YOU GUYS! /end cheezy moment. LOL
oh and the weather was amazing this weekend. warm and sunny and the trees are turning colors, it made my drives more bearable. I love fall colors- and set against a bright blue sky- INCREDIBLE. Just amazing. and Lake Erie was just.. wow. yeah. I love it! *and here is hoping for similar weather next weekend for Heather's wedding!*
so.. that's the good news. the bad: I didn't get the job in memphis. I got a letter in the mail yesterday. At least I know. but it definetly stings. I didn't let myself get too excited about it for this reason. If I don't get too high, I don't have as far to fall. ugh. back to the drawing board, I guess.
