It is time..

to recount my journey from Utah to New York..

lets start on the friday before I left- I went to the baseball game and toook pics with

that's Dre, Kayleen, Me and Asheley. the three of them are also Grizz fans and season ticket holders. :)

then after the game I saw Rachael and Jenny and took a pic with them:

Jenny, Me, Rachael. Also Grizz fans (and Rachael works game ops, plus they like the DEVILS!)Great gals, we didnt get to hang out nearly enough... I miss them!

SO that was friday night. I went out on Sat to Port-O-Call to see Walter a last time, and Rae and Jenny were going to meet us, but Rae got sick. No pics though, I didnt have my camera..

Sunday I hit the road, but not before taking some pics of the E-Center:

That's Alex standing in a statue in front of the building

-Front of the building with statue and no Alex

-Alex getting "attacked" by the Grizzly statue in the foyer

-View of the Wasatch Mts from the front door of the E-Center

-Martin Brodeur's signature in the "Canada Room"

-Ryan Smyth's sig (for svobodassweetie and ptc555!

-and Steve Yzerman..

YAY!

So we left Utah... next thing I knew it, we were in..

-IDAHO!

we drove though, and I took a pic of these neat mts, which I believe are part of the Tetons..

Then we entered another state:

and drove a while until we got to yellowstone.. which was actually in Wyoming when we weere in the park.

At Yellowstone, we saw all sorts of things..

starting with some

and then checked out some of the "volcanic tablelands that lend themselves to geysers and hot spings of all sorts:

-I don't know what the others are called, but this one is "paint pots" which is hot, boiling mud and clay.. very cool looking and it sounds neat too "plop, plop, glub, glub"

then the main event:

Yep, that's Old Faithful.. it's really quite neat.

then some more prety things..

lots of cool rock and water formations.. it was wild.

then, as we were leaving, we drove into some seriously thick fog.. and suddenly there appeared some wild creatures- BUFFALO! on the road, all around us. there were 4 on the road, and 2 flanking them on the other side of our car.. they kept moving in front of us every time we tried to go around them..

-No optical illusions here peeps, that's 100% true to scale, those suckers are BIG!

-Finally as I passed through, I snapped that shot.. WHOA.

Oh and always remember when walking through the hot springs areas that it is SUPER HOT! (very important) but if you forget, this sign with remind you-

pshew.. so that was Yellowstone.. then we drove to Wyoming to see Devil's Tower,

-Devil's Tower.. not entirely sure about the name, it's a old volanic cone that stayed when the rest of the ground wore away.. crazy stuff. anyway it has lots of signifigance to the Native American tribes in the area.. and it's pretty weird, cuz it just kinda appears out of
nowhere..

-Alex at Devil's Tower.

next we hit up Mt. Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota:

-Where's George? Oh there he is.. in profile.. it's pretty cool to see just him.. like.. what?

view from Mt. Rushmore

and the Monument itself..

-Pretty smoothe, eh?

-a bit closer and the view from below

.... then on the way out we saw some nice things:

-a lake in the black hills.. don't know the name..

and of course, don't forget about Smokey- "ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT FOREST FIRES!

and on the way across SD, we could see the edge of the Badlands national park, so I took a pic..

oh and here's a random one- DRIVING ON THE OPEN ROAD! ;)

the rest of the trip included crazy amounts of driving, the truck breaking down, lots of states, then finally HOME!

then I went to the AF Museum with Dani and I have pics of that too- next entry!

hope you enjoyed the pics! sorry it took me so long to post 'em!

friends, pictures, road trip, utah, family
