And I'm back

Alright, I'm back from Seattle. It rocked and wasn't so great all at the same time.

It wasn't looking too promising for the majority of the first day. I decided not to sleep (as most of you gathered from my entry at 5am the other day) and was going to just sleep on the train, but it was entirely full, forcing me to resort to using a glass window as a pillow, which really didn't work too well. But it was better than nothing.

So then I get to Seattle and walk several miles in attempt to find my mom's hotel. I finally get there after checking out some guitar stores, eat food, get ready to get some sleep before I head out for the night, and... my mom decides that she's not going to let me rent my own room and makes me sleep in a 4 foot closet instead. I don't know why, and for some reason she wouldn't tell me. (And it was only 4 feet long. Figures. Sucks to be tall sometimes.)

Anyway, after I got out of that dang hotel, I took the metro back downtown and bought myself a new guitar. It rules. It has twice as many pickups as my current one. It has great tone. It was really expensive. Did I mention it rules?

Umm yeah, so I also scored a gig bag to go with it and then headed down to Bumbershoot, the music festival that was going on, with my new guitar strapped on my back. A couple guys from one of the metal bands were apparently missing their guitarist and saw me, so I got to actually play some covers on the main stage (by the Space Needle) with the band.

That ruled more than most things do these days. The entire event was recorded, so if you happen to watch the replay of Bumbershoot in Seattle on tv sometime, look for me on the right of the main stage if you see these guys:

Heh yeah, they're kinda bizzare.

I spent most of the second day just hanging out at the music experience, playing guitar, and laughing at random stuff in the science fiction museum. Long train ride back, and here I am now.

I should probably go sleep sometime soon. Hopefully talk to you all tomorrow.

Oh, and I have a picture of me right before I left the other day carrying all my stuff and drinking a cup of earl grey tea thanks to thinking of Lily before I left. I'll post that tomorrow, it's a pretty entertaining picture.
