It's pretty straightforward, if you think about it.
KEEP RIGHT.
It's probably one of the easiest road work signs out there. It's one that should be obvious, but still has to be posted in construction zones. And, unlike a lot of road signs, it makes sense.
We drive on the right side of the road, it only goes to follow that we should KEEP on the RIGHT side of the road.
You may be saying to yourself right now, "Self, this makes sense. But why is SLynn going on and on about it?"
Good question! Answer: Me and my van full of kids were nearly plowed down by not one, not two, but three dumbass drivers who can't follow freakin' simple, obvious, road signs.
KEEP RIGHT.
If it isn't clear enough to those who can't read and are still out on the road, there is a big arrow under those words that points, you guessed it, to the right.
Never is it implied on that sign that, if say a driver is not going fast enough for your liking, you should just go around them on the left into the single oncoming traffic lane (that has the right of way) to avoid their stupidity. The sign does not say KEEP RIGHT, if you feel like it. The sign does not say KEEP RIGHT, except on Tuesdays. The sign does not say KEEP RIGHT, unless you're in a hurry.
NO.
It says KEEP RIGHT only.
The world is full of freakin' idiots and half of them live and drive in this city. I can't wait to leave.
