Let's catch up with the Broke family...
Last Time: Phillipa gave birth to a boy, Tate. Marvin's business, Marvin's School of Dance, went bankrupt. The city took it from him, leaving him with $70,000 dollars in debt. He got a job in the slacker career, only to be fired on the first day. He took up a job as a test subject. Scarlet grew into an angsty teenager. Tate grew into a toddler. The family was evicted from their townhome. They moved into a mobile home park on the outside of town. They're still losing $3,600 per day from loan interest. Scarlet is definitely going to embrace her LTW of becoming a criminal mastermind. Tate and Marvin both grew up.
This Time: National lottery winner: win $5,000-25,000 (They rolled $7k) Nice!
(So just to preface... Marvin took out a $75k loan and built a 'School of Dance' since it seemed like a good idea for his LTW to reach head of dance career. However, he wasn't making enough money to cover the interest payments which are pretty heavy with Monique's Hacked Computer loans. Then their townhome lot was getting really glitchy so I pretended they got evicted.)

Phillipa worked at Sam's Supermarket as a manager, but the supermarket has closed after Dalton Haverson's passing. :(

Marvin works in the science career now as a high school teacher
Scarlet's LTW is to reach the top of Criminal Career and as a teen rolled the want to join them, so it's been locked!
The lottery money and a few thousand they had went to paying down Marvin's loan!

Anyways, it is party time, because it is Tate's brithday!!
Surprisingly, Phillipa's son Fidel Hustler, actually showed up for his half brothers birthday!
(He is actually adopted by ROS but my story is that Fidel was kicked out of his fathers house so he moved in with Phillipa as a teen)
They don't have a very close relationship, so I was surprised he actually came!
Scarlet chatted with her cousin, Harry Holmquist
And Marvin caught up with his brother, Glen Holmquist

Tate was about to enjoy his cake but then their neighbor Allen Winkwell, who was at the party a few minutes ago!!!, decided to complain about the noise lmao

Allen you literally live on the other side of the park!!!

The next day, Phillipa and the kids ran to Triumph Gas Station for some basic groceries
We gotta get Sam's Supermarket back open, but it was passed to Marie Haverson after her brothers passing, so I'm not sure if she will hold it for one of her kids or sell it
Mads Marius works here, Scarlet was happy to chat with him while her mom checked out
Then Tate wanted a cellphone, so they ran to Maximum Security on the way home, too
Meanwhile, with no groceries in the house, Marvin has his usual breakfast
And some drama happened with the trailer park residents
Back at home, Scarlet gave Tate her old gameboy, aww
For some reason a lot of my sims have more than one gameboy or mp3? It can't be from businesses, only one business sells them and like 50% of my sims have duplicate electronics...?
Tate was happy
It was time for another party!!

Tate, being a knowledge sim, finished up his reading on physiology before the party got going
Then I missed the whole aging up thing, ope

She came home with a cold, which, in Valdell is quite deadly, let's be honest
I sent her to relax and take a bath but it was too late D:

Luckily a million years ago in Marvin's youth, he wished for a second life with a genie lamp

The next day, Marvin awoke with his debt heavy on his mind. Maybe a rommate would help?
But maybe digging for some treasure could help
While digging, Marvin greeted this lady, Zia as she walked by
Landlord: *grumbles angrily in the background* lmao
They share one bolt and agreed to spend some time getting to know each other
Tate also greeted Stormie Meadows when she walked by
Potential roommate in the future, maybe? hmm
Tate and Stormie had a nice day getting to know each other, too
It's lonely without Phillipa...
