Just an idea for anyone looking to write the next big movie out there.
Ok so, an overweight 6th grade world history teacher. He is very heavy though and everyone treats him like shit. Kids are mean and honest so they make fun of him and laugh at him when he has fat problems like getting out of his chair or fitting between tight spaces, etc.
Anyways, he has a strong passion for sumo wrestling. He loves it, thinks its the greatest sport in the world. When he gets to teach about japanese culture he is impassioned when explaining the art of sumo. The way he explains it makes us love it, But his students are all bored and wish he'd shut his fat face.
Anyways, through some random inciting incident, he decides he is fed up with being unappreciated for his weight problem, and he decides to go to japan to become a sumo wrestler. While there he joins a dojo and trains with all these other japanese people. They treat him like shit. Not for being fat but for being American and different. In fact, he is made fun of also for being not fat enough. He is a lightweight compared to the greats.
But despite his obstacles, he overcomes and gets through the rigorous training. He ends up proving ot himself that he is a great person and a great fighter.
It's sort of a rocky meets memoirs of a geisha. I call it......Million Pound Baby. We'll need to rework the title for the British release since it might cause some confusion of correlation to the original Million "DOLLAR" baby. But we'll worry about that issue when we get there.
Let me know what you think.
