I realize that I haven't posted in quite a long time, but since I've moved, I've been sorely deprived of the internet. I can get online at work, but only to a handful of sites, this (and my email) not being one of them. It is quite frustrating. I had recently made the happy discovery that I could afford the internet on my own and was going to wait until another set of utility payments came in to be sure, but alas, my plans have been thrown awry... in a good way. A co-worker bought a new car and has decided to give me her old one. Yes, that's right, -give- me her old one. Granted, it isn't in the best of shape, but it is a car. I have researched, and I believe I can afford to pay for insurance and gas on this car. Not to mention, the car will enable me to go donate plasma until I have snag myself a handy 16-20 hr a week second job. I will gladly work an extra 16-20 hours if it means the other evenings I can actually meet with friends or drive to the laundromat (instead of biking and being stuck b/c it is now raining, right now) when I want to. I can drive to the grocery store. No more worrying about missing the bus. I don't know that the car is in good enough shape to get me to Gainesville, but it will enable me to get the job that will give me the extra cash so that I can meet up with someone else and go to events again. HOORAY!!! I will update again when I actually manage to snag the car. : )
