I think I remembered that Bryce was actually a giant geek who just hides it better than Chuck/Morgan/everyone else when I was writing that part about the movies. Zork! Talking in Klingon! Total geek. So of course he was probably also a movie buff who complained about the inaccuracies of every film/tv show ever made once he actually became a spy but also secretly learned things from them like how to jimmy a door open with a credit card or how to reflect low to the ground laser beams with tinfoil so you can walk through them. Or maybe that's just stuff I learned. But also about bombs and defusing them because I like to think that's not realistically something you run into every day in the world of espionage.

Unexpectedly disturbing and heavy thoughts, starring Daniel Shaw. I, like, rewrote that scene a hundred times, and I think he just became more of a bastard as I went along. My hatred bled over. Whoops.

Those texts, btw, since idk if the coda clarified it at all, but they were between Greta/Erika and Unnamed Source Who You Will See Later On Like In Part 8. Different sideplot, It's fairly obvious where the HBO boys were (living together! because accidental feels in inappropriate locations with surrogate characters). I barely bothered to change their names (think real hard on the name Ben Stewart and you'll get the irony of the last name change).

I, to this day, don't know where that Merry Christmas, Walker bit came from. I think I wrote it at like 6AM before dashing off to school and never looked at it again. But it's kind of my favorite now because tension. (Also, I really like the refusal to use first names over the course of this fic and really the actual series and that point was driven home by tag commentary I read the other day for another ship that basically said 'people call the people they love by the names they know them by' and like goodnight.

Super happy that you were feeling nervous during that whole intruder debacle. I've written that scene so many times and obviously I know what happens so I have like no objectivity when it comes to telling how it plays to the audience.

So glad you're liking this! So sorry I'm word vomiting at your word vomit! ;)
