Good gracious this is fantabulous!
It's kind of awful how long I've wanted Sarah cheating fic LOL
And this? Is perfection!
So angsty, but it hurts so good. I love the tension in this - her motivations and her guilt - it feels like everything could just snap at a moment's notice.
And ugh this image

His hand finds hers on his shoulder and something in the movement dislodges her, frees her, an accidental reprieve; she drops her forehead to where their hands are joined and breathes.

a;sldkfj I can't even!
Thank you so much for writing this prompt! I adore you *hugs*

Yeah, it's kind of awful how many times I've tried to write Sarah cheating fic. We can be horrible people together.

I'm thrilled you liked this bb! Thanks so much for giving me the excuse to write!

Wow!! The idea of Sarah cheating on Chuck is sufficiently heart breaking and horrifying to even consider, yet, this was totally wonderfully and ANGSTY and tension-y and LOVELY in a really unexpected way. AMAZING WRITING. <333

Struggling to work out Sarah's motivation for cheating on chuck? Is it cause she doesn't believe she deserves to be happy? Also don't understand the Cinderella reference either.

No matter how Sarah is feeling, surely casey wouldn't does this too chuck would he? They both know what this would do too him. This isn't just sex and cheating, it's a full blown affair with feelings. Seems like she spends more nights with casey then with her husband.

Don't want to sound like I'm complaining, I just want to understand the thought process of Sarah and casey here, especially Sarah.

Yeah, that would be the point of a fic which is clearly labeled with the ship Casey/Sarah. Shocking, I know.

For someone who clearly doesn't like the pairing, as you made so perfectly clear in your lovely ao3 comment - believe me when I say I use that word sarcastically - you sure went out of your way to make sure you tracked my fics down on both ao3 and LJ . For what purpose? So you could leave condescending attempts at "constructive criticism" where it was neither asked for or wanted? I'm not interested. You're not trying to understand character motivations, you're trying to give me a lecture on morality. I don't need it, and I don't fucking want it.

Don't bother leaving a reply, or any more comments. You won't like the earful you get if you do.

I criticised the other fic because I believed that one deserved criticism. But this one I was genuinely interested in learning Sarah's motivations. I was just confused as to why she needed the comfort of casey and to why she wasn't happy with chuck nothing more nothing less.

I genuinely apologise if I offended you, I'm not knocking your talent as a writer, you are very talented. I like to read all stories that are out there, whether I agree with the pairings are not, because I could miss good stories otherwise. Again I apologise, but I would genuinely like to know Sarah's thought process in this story.
