So, first off, I'm one of those people who, once you keep in mind my pairing preferences, is really, really open to just letting people run with it. That said, I'm not a sappy person. I like humor, angst, drama, smut, whatever. Just not sappy. And I mean Hallmark's brand of sappy. Just getting that out of the way.
Chuck: I know I put this in the details, but I feel like restating it: I'm not a Chuck/Sarah fan. My apathy has turned to outright dislike by this point. I love the TEAM, yes, and I enjoy Chuck as a character, so if you feel the need to go gen, then that works just fine, but just, please, not Chuck/Sarah. I enjoy a whole boatload of pairings, most specifically Casey/Sarah (my OTP), Bryce/Chuck, Bryce/Sarah, Bryce/Ellie, Bryce/Carina, and Carina/Sarah. I like canon but I also like AUs. Roadtrips, post-apocalyptic fic, and going rogue are some of my absolute favorite themes/cliches/whatever. I like the spy life. I like reading about it and writing about it and seeing it on my screen.
Sports Night: Basically, this show owns my heart. You can't do a lot of wrong here. My favorite aspect of the show was Dan and Casey. I ship them like burning (they were my OTP) but I also love their friendship deeply. This scene never fails to make me tear up, years later. That kind of deeply. I'll take gen fic as well, since there isn't a character on this show that I don't absolutely love. I've also always had a soft spot for any Dan/Natalie interaction, and will take that in both a friendshipy or shippery context. I love the humor of this show, because it's smart humor instead of cheap gags -- it's what made me fall in love with Aaron Sorkin's work, so obviously, with this show, I'm big on that. Overall, my directions with this one are pretty general. I just want fic, so bad, for this little show that ended far too early and is way too underrated.
The Good Wife: I barely read fic for this show. I think that's because there's too little available and that's precisely why I'm requesting it. I followed Josh Charles over here from Sports Night, so I don't think it's surprising that Will's my favorite. I ship him with Alicia -- a lot. That kiss kind of short-circuited my brain. I'd love to read something that works with the information we have (what little there is) about their time at Georgetown, as well as things that are set in the present. I might have a kink for office sex. Okay, I really have a kink for that. Other things I like include Alicia and Kalinda in a friendship context. Alicia/Kalinda in a shippy context. Cary/Kalinda in a shippy context, especially after those looks in that one episode at the beginning of Season 2 -- the whole "did you miss me" part. That was wonderful.
Anyways, thank you so much for whatever you come up with. Know that you will be my favorite person this holiday, in all likelihood.
