I actually think the April one is very good. Like many others I'm not very fond of April, though I love Sarah Drew and I think she gave an outstanding performance in the finale. The way you write her seems very plausible and in character - I'm never sure if I can claim in character for someone who has been on screen for so little, but... It makes sense, and guilty eating her alive feels right.

The first one, oh, I definetely agree about the poster who said it is very Grey's, one step forward, two or three backwards. I can see Meredith going back to that dark and twisty place, this time going backwards because she has a reason and because it also works as an excuse - I kind of see the purpose of wanting things the way they were, and why it is oh, so much easier than talking and all that. It feels 110% right that she doesn't tell Derek about the miscarriage, that he has his own issues she is not able to help as she could - ou should, who knows - and that it takes a toll on the relationship.

The only thing I'm not sure about is the baby going unacknowledged. Telling Cristina it was a false positive works, but April and Owen were actually there when she was miscarrying, and while I don't think they would tell anyone, I imagine there would be, I don't know, silent looks and stuff like that? You know, unacknowledging what they do acknowledge? Though it works in a way, they the baby goes unacknowledged by everybody but Meredith herself.

Hey, I take the kind words where I can get them with April. I struggled. Severely.

As for the miscarriage thing -- I sort of...wrote April out of the situation here. And as far as I'm concerned, Owen appeared too busy, you know, being shot. But who knows, there could be looks. I'm down with acknowledging the unacknowledged.
