I hope Jackson doesn't get killed either but I wouldn't put it past them. I think he's fabulous character and absolutely love the actor who plays him (he keeps popping up in my shows, so that's a good thing I guess).
Even after such life and death situations, the job they do, the risks they put themselves in, they can NEVER face each other and what they feel. And just with these two lines, you've conveyed it all so perfectly.
Thank goodness that worked for you because I was seriously unsure about that entire scene. It felt anticlimactic but, in a way, I think a lot of their scenes go that way. They won't come out with it. It's part of what makes them very...tragic.
Mesmerized by such details. They're just so... they add a whole other level of intimacy to the scene

I'm so wonderfully relieved to hear that you liked it! I've been nervous about this pretty much since I posted. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Thank goodness for thunderstorms -- it's already cooler out there, lol.
I appreciate the rambling comments. I'm a rambler by nature so it's a nice bit of familiarity. Then again, it's also nice to find someone who is as crazy about this ship as I am. The climate towards shippers in this fandom is quite...interesting, shall we say?

Would you mind terribly if I were to friend you? I have like literally two or three NCIS friends on my flist and have absolutely been dying to find some who share my ship. I understand if that's a no -- god knows I know how insane it is once your flist gets too expansive -- but I figured I'd ask.
