That said, because I wasn't going to leave this alone:
“So is this going to be a thing now?”
Meredith smoothes down the bed sheets. “Is what going to be a thing?”
Derek cocks his head in her direction, giving her a ‘you know what I’m talking about’ look that only really works when she, you know, knows what he’s talking about.
“Derek.”
“You hanging out in the bathroom while Alex is naked in the shower.”
“Oh, that.” She shrugs. “Izzie used to do that with George all the time.”
“Didn’t they sleep together?”
She so knows what this is about now. “Are you jealous?”
“No,” he says, like that’s the most ridiculous thing in the world, which of course means that he is.

“So now he’s jealous.”
“This is fun for you, isn’t it?” Alex asks, and there is soap on his skin but they’re not doing anything remotely clean. His hands are on her hips and her back is pressed against cold tile.
“He thinks we’re talking.”
“Well,” his mouth is hot against her neck, “we are doing that.”
She laughs, slides a hand up his body, to land on his chest. “Yeah, we really should be doing less of that. We’ve got like ten minutes before he thinks we’re plotting his death or something.”
He looks her dead in the eye, faux-serious, and, “I thought everything that important got written down on a post-it.”
“Hey,” she shoves him but his hands are on her, steady, so he doesn’t even budge. That wasn’t the point anyways. She’s definitely not trying to decrease contact here, “don’t mock the post-it.”
“Whatever you say,” he replies, and then his leg finds its way between hers, pushing up, as his thumb draws circles around her nipple; the only thing she’s saying at the point is “oh god yes”.

My Lexie/Derek schizophrenic thought process of DOOM:
Lexie and Derek have the perfect people facade going. They are the types who can sit and calmly drink coffee with Aaron Karev and act like this is something that happens every morning. We all know they are broken inside, we've seen it, and we know they both are with people who have had the dark and twisties down to a science, but when they break, they try to do it behind closed doors or off in trailers out in the woods. So I just have this thing that, like, for all their perfect people facades, inside they are just as screwed up as the rest of us. So, IDK, that's just why I would ship the hell out of Derek/Lexie. They want the world to see the put-together exterior so badly that it makes me ~want~ to see the dark, dirty...wrongness underneath. Also, I was never entirely convinced that Derek wanted Mark to stay away from Little Grey just because she was Meredith's sister. But that's just me.
IDK if I am interperating their characters totally wrong or what but those are just my ~thoughts
