She still gets up, refill, and he’s lost count of the number of times she’s done that. They’ve been here awhile.

He still thinks of Izzie with every flash of blonde walking through the door.

OKAY? It's wonderful. Exactly what I had in mind with these two after the last episodes. The ending was beautifully constructed -- both heart-wrenching and real.

Aw yay! I'm actually totally relieved that you liked it. I've been struggling to write this A/I fic for like a week and it just wasn't working at all so I think maybe doing stuff like this will get the juices flowing maybe? IDK.
