God, you use metaphors and imagery so incredibly well and your pauses are placed so beautifully. How do you do that? I am terrified of writing prose because of that! So I settle for word trees :) This is what fan fiction should be all about; about taking these characters to unknown territories and let them be. I love how you used the rain, as if the weather was in tune with her feelings. Perfect.

Maybe it's this writerly part of me who's reading too much into it but I loved this: "the brightest light in the room being that of her laptop..." As if everything else was dark and rainy but not the one thing in the room that was so characteristically him: a laptop.

And don't get me started on "coffee."

So I'll just say that every once in a while one finds a writer who instead of going for the obvious (in our case, using the source material as it's given to you and change the situation or the environment) thinks outside the box and writes his characters from the inside out. That's what you always do. And it works and it is amazing because your Penny and your Sheldon couldn't possibly be more in character.

That was a long-ish review I guess but you more than deserve it :)

I love your reviews. For reasons other than the flattery, namely that you let me know what I'm doing right. You deconstruct and let me know what works, and I appreciate that more than anything at this point.

The laptop line was on purpose, and I did have every intention of writing it so that people might read into it. You did. Thank you. It's all about atmosphere, small details, with these things.

I'm so very glad that you liked this! Thanks for leaving me such thorough reviews and thank you for reading :)
