Oh, this is so much fun to read. Once again I have to say how impressed I am that you deal with all of the characters and you write them so in character. I love the whole Alex/Mer/Izzie and the tree moments. And I love so much more about this story :) Can't wait to read what's going to happen during the blackout...

Favorite part--Derek's talk with Mark--you have their conversation just right.

"Then the tree, and the lights in the rest of the house, flicker, and then die." Yeah, this happens in Seattle all too often, usually when we have high winds on top of the snow or rain. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Ha, wow. What a briliant lead-up to the power going out. Almost tragic, really, hehe. And you handled a whole hell of a lot of people in one scene rather brilliantly!

Yay decorating! But oh, poor Alex, getting saddled with everything. I can completely see that happening. I felt so bad for him when the lights went out. Poor guy. Should make things much more interesting now, though...

Well, I'm going off of that time earlier this season where Meredith's argument is "he fixes things" for why he should stay. And so I ran with that.
