Yay for this update. I still really like how this is a Grey's Christmas story and not a Mer/Der or Mark/Lexie one. I'm looking forward to more over the next few days (I hope...)

I prefer writing ensemble fics, tbh, because in the end that's what this show is. Plus there's so much more material to work with you know.

Ahhh, grasping at straws now I see. (Distraction, distraction.) Sadie and Izzie are decorating (and Izzie is cooking, which is par for the course with her), Meredith is trying to distract Derek with sex, Cristina is trying to distract herself from her Owen attraction with her Meredith drama and trying to distract herself from her Meredith drama with her Owen attraction. Subtle, but very think-y. Love this story so much.

And I liked the little scene with Izzie and Derek- I'm really liking how they're settling into rommates and their 'semi-comfortable' silence. (And Denny is just silently watching from the corner now, because Izzie is starting to figure out what's up, and Halluci-Denny is getting tense.)

Distraction is pretty much the theme her, yes, lol.

Izzie and Derek are hard to write -- not a lot of canon interaction there that's for sure. And Denny and his silence is definitely on purpose.
