I like that last line about Sawyer closing the door before Charlotte can even process what's been said because that's how this seems to flow. Just back and forth and back and forth and it's all very exciting!
I love how you've brought Alex back, and once again how you've kept with the canon theme of both Sawyer and Claire having been left behind and assumed dead by the world at large.
The dialogue between Sawyer and Charlotte is very sharp and very in character and I really like their dynamic. The stuff with Alex and Richard, the question of where he's taking her, what he plans to do, etc. Very mysterious and that part especially is leaving me wanting.
Love the bit about Jack not wanting to give up control even for a second. And about Sawyer finding them alone together, without him, being the odd man out. And also I'm wondering if the Alex/Richard and the Jack/Sawyer/Claire, Sawyer/Charlotte storylines are going to converge at some point.

I wanted this to be short and broken up and not just one solid story. It's all interwoven (which you've picked up on) and I can promise some really interesting stuff for the second part in which they will converge. There is a reason why it's being written in this manner.
I try to keep with canon, I really do, it makes things easier, but fitting Alex into this made that very...shall we say complicated. I'm glad you thought everyone remained in character though -- I was a little worried since I haven't written Lost in forever.
