And because I need to start writing again:

Summary: This is all very petty but Shannon's pretty sure they both accepted long ago that it's just in their blood.
This is all very petty but Shannon’s pretty sure they both accepted long ago that it’s just in their blood.
It’s her and Nikki, competing for people’s attention. They’re both young, into the drama of this whole island, at least on some superficial level, and they’re not above resorting to a battle won by whoever can wear the shortest skirts or flirt with the most people.
They’re not above anything at this point.
But the whole truth of it is eventually these games, games best left for children and not grown women who might very well try to eat each other alive, can get boring. They can get boring because there’s no definite winners, no real score. It’s a competition that’s merely in their minds.
So it’s only natural that they go and try to outdo each other in other matters.
Like who can fuck the best, hardest, fastest.
Shannon was really positive that she’d win this but Nikki keeps giving her a run for her money, so, when she switches from two fingers to three, Shannon bites back a moan, stops herself from throwing her head back, and just plain acts indifferent.
She also bites down a little too hard on Nikki’s bottom lip and enjoys the tiny drop of blood that results.
When she comes it isn’t Nikki’s name on her lips, but rather a breathy, “Bitch,” with the same forcefulness behind it as if she was screaming it across the beach at the other woman.
Nikki’s voice is just a little airy, which doesn’t surprise Shannon because she pretty sure the other woman just got off on the visual alone, as she tells her, “takes one to know one.”
Isn’t that the truth.
