She doesn’t know how, and she doesn’t know why, but while her and Ford were off trying to intercept Tom and Pryce, and all the others they brought with them, Ben must’ve breathed his final breath.
Now all that’s left of him is physical remnants. His body, still tied up, dried blood everywhere. She’s been told there were two separate incidents, one with Jack, one that no one will talk about.
In that moment Juliet can’t describe how she feels. Sad, yes, but also confident in the knowledge that the person who’d been keeping her there is gone. No more mind games, no more excuses.
She is free.
