I can not read anything that is script style, it just takes away from the story. Ditto for anything without paragraphs. As for capitilization (and other grammar) people like that need to use betas. My spelling isn't perfect but at least 97% of the time it's right.
I totally agree that stuff for other pairings usually turns out better. Actually ensemble fics are what I've been going for. Sometimes it feels like people who write Alex/Izzie are all twelve years old. It sucks. But every now and then there are real gems, and finding them is half the fun.
I can only read script style when it's a transcript. Fanfics shouldn't do that style unless they intend to keep it that style the whole way through. I don't mind spelling that much because I was a horrible speller (I've improved alot since I've started writing, but I'm still not great) but capitalization bugs me.
If I knew how I would start an archive but I can't do the PHP code yet. But one of these days I'm atleast going to put up a list of fics that people can see. I've been searching through FF.net (although my mom decided to get on AOL without saving the pages I had opened and I lost a few, including a series that looked pretty good.).
As far as the archive goes you can actually put up a list of links pretty easily if you use Geocities. They have a pagebuilder that simplifies everything.
Links I can do:) I was thinking of the self-upload kind where people can upload their fics to the site. Kinda like ff.net but alot more focused. I don't know if they have any for GA but I know they have quite a few for Stargate and Harry Potter, two other fandoms I write in.
Oh, I know what you're talking about now. I've seen them but I know Grey's doesn't have one. You should totally look into that, it sounds like a great idea.
PHP is next on my list of things to learn:) I just finished learning dreamweaver so I can do websites now (My major in school is graphic design). I think there is a place to get the code, but I think you still need to know how to manipulate it. I'll ask my friend who runs one what she did.

I've found some of the better ones are for other pairings that have Alex/Izzie in the background.
