Most people do call the AI Mike, at least those who know it even exists. Various other titles, like Friend Computer, are either jokes or personal preference. As for the rest, you'll have to wait for the next chapter to see.

Neuter, although for most people it sounds like a woman. It tends to go with whatever makes the listener most comfortable.

I also really liked the outsider POVs. And the newspaper articles in the previous part.

(As a side note, I noticed some typos, e.g. I think you meant "sheer awesomeness" not "shear", also you forgot a "not" in this sentence which made me stumble '"They're going to be giving us more funding, Rodney," John said. "If anything, they're going to take it away."' I hope you don't find nitpicky comments too annoying...)

You have no idea how much fun I had thinking up different names for that committee (PACMAN, ASS, RAMEN). I'm glad you liked the outsider POVs, that was one of the main points of this chapter and the previous one.

Phasers are indeed awesome. As for the brothers, they pop up a couple more times. Any resemblance to other S&D siblings is purely coincidence. Really.

I'm really enjoying this. I love the way the articles and OCs give all these different POVs, and the plotting is getting very interesting.

Thanks! I wanted to make sure to have multiple POVs, and when I wrote that particular section I was in a class studying ideologies and the media, which made me interested in how Atlantis might be portrayed. I probably could write an entire fic out of media stories.
