So, does anyone still use Livejournal, or have we all migrated to the sunnier pastures of MySpace and Facebook?

If I do have some company here, I suppose I'll fill you in on some of my very deep thoughts (soft background piano):

While preparing for a performance yesterday, I realized and accepted the fact that focus on one goal sometimes requires the periphery to become chaotic. I have a tendency to get caught up in things needing to be perfect in all directions before I can move on into whatever it is that I'm trying to accomplish. This ends up being endlessly distracting and unsatisfying. Yesterday was gratifying because I was able to allow myself to become the eye of my own hurricane. I scheduled and hussled and accomplished everything that needed to be done, even if it meant leaving nearly every costume piece that own scattered about my apartment, to be dealt with later. That's all I have to say about that. I like it. Ya know what else I like? Seinfeld. I watched a total of five episodes this morning before doing anything "productive". Now that's focus! :D

Sushi sushi sushi sushi sushi.

I just experienced a pang of regret for having gone to Hawaii during the time when I was not eating any fish. I was in my full-on vegetarian mentality back then, and missed out on possibley the best sushi available to me thusfar. !!! However, there is talk among my parents of a family trip to the Polynesian paradise as a retirement getaway for my Dad. It's an island toss-up between Hawaii and the Azores (their homeland, not Polynesian). I'm voting for the Azores, because I'm craving contact with my roots somethinawful, not to mention that the Azores are DRAMATICALLY less touristy than Hawaii. In fact, there are probably more cows and roosters than humans. I might be out voted, however, since no one else in my tribe has been to Hawaii. Either way, aquatic mammals of the Pacific and Atlantic better start living life to the fullest.

And how are you?
