My Personal Election
I've been gathering votes on what others consider to be the ideal option on the great debate of my moving situation.
The popular vote:
Take the New Bedford apartment. Recent developments have made this a more appealing option, personally,and I'll tell you why. While chatting with Aurel, my dance instructor/friend, I was told that she is looking to hire an administrative assistant to help with the workload that is developing in her booming business. The position would pay $12-$15 per hour, and would be part time, which is perfect for someone who has teaching jobs and other business to tend to. It's basically all office work, but belly dance oriented office work. IDEAL.
If I did happen to get this job, which is not a certantly, it would be too far of a commute from Providence (at least 45 minutes each way). More importantly, it wouldn't provide enough cash for the living costs of being there. Technically speaking, if I was willing to deal with the commute, I could juggle part time work in the city with the office job, but would probably be just scraping by financially.
As much as I love Providence, my dear Coothin, and her lovely pad, I think that this New Bedford deal could be the empty pot in which to plant the seeds of a fruitful creative future. I have work to do.
