So Saturday came and it was our last day of vacation. We had to check out of the hotel by 11:00, and I had plans to visit my Aunt and Uncle and cousins after 1:00, so we just took our time getting ready and packed and figuring out what to do for the day. After we checked out we decided to go to the aquarium. It was really neat; I'd never been there, so it was fun to see. There were 3 big birthday party groups, so it was a little difficult to see everything, but again we just took our time and had a really great time. They had a restaurant there, so we had lunch there. I felt a little guilty eating my fish taco as fish were swimming around me, but I got over it. It was a really good taco.
After that we headed to Pam and Dale's (aunt and uncle) house to see Brayden! Well we saw Pam and Dale and Amy (cousin) and Adam (Amy's beau) and Erin (cousin/Brayden's mom) and Mia (dog), but really we were there to see Brayden!! What?! I've never seen him before!! It was great to see EVERYONE! It was a great visit, and Brayden is the sweetest, cutest little baby and I tried REALLY hard not to squish his cheeks. It was hard though, they are squishable cheeks!!
After that we headed home! Dad had a cake for me which was very nice, so we had cake and ice-cream and unpacked. Yesterday was my niece Molly's birthday and she had a swimming party, so we headed over there for that. It was great to see my nephews and niece and Nyla got a chance to swim some more. My nephew Noah was so sweet and stayed in the shallow end with Nyla pretty much the whole time, since poor Nyla is still learning to swim and overcome her water fear. She also ran into her little best friend from school, who was crazy excited to see her, since she's been out of summer camp for a week. So that was fun too! After that, I was so tired; I was a zombie for the rest of the day! Pretty much made sure Nyla's clothes were clean for the next day and got her bathed and in bed and then I crashed!!
And now here I am, back at work like nothing happened. Same office drama, same messy desk, same fire drills. But it was nice to escape it all, even for just a week! I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes! It was very sweet! Also, check out my pictures, I posted a lot of vacation pictures, although not even HALF of what I took it up there!
