Should you keep writing over the holidays?
Like everything else about writing, there is no perfect answer to that question. If you have a deadline, you damn well better be writing.
But what if you don't have a deadline looming? That gets a little more tricky. Some writers must take a break between projects. Some can't stop or they would never start again. Most of us are in-between somewhere. The holidays can get hectic, especially for writers with family obligations. Where you fall in this is as original as your writing itself. So, my advice is try to write during this hectic wonderful holiday time, but if you can't or don't write this week, give yourself a break and return to the writing slog after the New Year begins.
