Another GRRRR

What do I hate today?  Public transit and my flatmate.

Let's start with public transit.  I take the train to work almost every day.  In the morning I'm usually with the BF (unless he's working from home, lucky bastard).  So we're trying to find 2 seats together.  Is it our fault that everyone in the main rows sits by the window first so that there's always only 1 empty seat per row when we get on and we're relegated to the seats near the doors?  Nope, not our fault.  And yes, those seat are supposed to be made available to seniors or people with disabilities when they get on.  Which we do!

But this morning an older couple got on and both the BF and I were half asleep and didn't notice.  We didn't notice until the lady started saying in a very loud voice, "These seat are supposed to be for seniors!" and "They know it, they can read!" and other such lovely comments.  Bitch!  There were lots of other people in the seats near the doors on the car but they were standing over us (and the lady was hitting me with her bag in the leg) so everyone else starts staring at us.  Ugh.  Me and the BF looked at each other and came to the mutual decision that we weren't moving.  If she'd gotten our attention quietly and explained the situation we definitely would have but sorry, I'm not going to be nice to you after you're a nasty hag.  Being old does not give you permission to be a bitch!  Finally, some other lady offered them her seat and guess what?  They didn't even take it!  So they didn't care about standing, the lady just wanted to be a horrible bitch.  As I got off I really wanted to say something to her along the lines of, "I'm pregnant and it's risky.  I'm not supposed to stand or walk much.  Thanks for thinking about anyone but yourself."  Bitch!

And now my flatmate.  When the old flatmate moved out the cable/internet was in her name.  I asked her a couple times to transfer it to me but she never did.  So finally I washed my hands of it.  I basically don't live there anyways so why do I care?  Well, finally the people figured out that no one was paying the bill and turned it off.  So last night I got a bunch of annoying text messages from her.  They went something like this...

Her - "The cable and internet aren't working."
Me - "Well, they probably turned it off.  Call and set up a new account."
Her - "Why can't we keep the old account and pay it?"
Me - "It's under old flatmate's name and probably has a bunch of late fees."
Her - "Are you going to be home tonight?"
Me - "No.  Maybe tomorrow."

Then this morning...
Her - "We need to take our lease to such and such place before 6pm."
Me - "I've never done that but if it needs to be done you do it.  Do I ever get home before 6pm?"

Gah.  How old are?  How can you not deal with this by yourself?  Seriously, when was the last time you actually saw me?  Do you think I give a crap about whether there's cable or internet there?  And I guess, this doesn't actually seem so bad but I told her, before she moved in, that mailing our rent check was her responsibility and I'd give her a check for my portion.  Of course since then she's done nothing but bug me about it and last month I got stuck completely dealing with it when she went on vacation and somehow farked everything up.  Plus there's the pot smoking.  I said she could smoke inside but only if I never smelled it.  And what now happens?  I walk through the door and there's an incredibly thick, choking cloud of smoke.  I have asthma!  My belongings need to not smell like smoke!
