procrastination..woo hoo

Yep..procrastinating again. I actually finally managed to finish a small section of my paper that's due monday that I was going to finish this week. Of course that plan got shot to hell. Monday-Wednesday was spent attempting to contact the other debate group from the Addictive Process and find out the points we had to counter. Of course the guy finally got ahold of me on Wednesday morning and our debate was Wednesday night. Then pipeline went down for a few hours in the course of corresponding back and forth with my group members. wednesday sucked hardcore. I also had to meet w/ my group for communication that day too. The debate ended up going okay..of course we lost. Besides, I don't like having to do things the day of..I would have had much better information on Alcoholism not being a disease (or topic) if I had known ahead of time. Oh well..it's over with and done. Today I had my group presentation in communication. We worked on the project for four hours yesterday. Yep..a semester-long project done in four hours. Well, mostly four hours. We had research done and surveys and whatever but the presentation and paper stuff was done yesterday. I called the group out on some loopholes I found..and I thought the teacher would catch them. They said not to worry about it. Oh yeah. She caught them. But it's no big deal. We proposed to put up a message board on the Appalcart Website so that people could easily post suggestions or concerns..and I had a feeling she would want to see the actual message board. We also proposed to put up visible signs displaying the Appalcart website on/in buses and in bus shelters..she also wanted to see that. Luckily, she'll let us bring that stuff in Monday. It will take no time to come up w/ some signs, and Trevor is a tech master so he said he'd do the message board. It went well though..the presentation. Our powerpoint wouldn't pull up, but it was still good. I actually didn't stutter when I spoke for a change..so that was a happy moment for me. We also filmed a video yesterday to go w/ our presentation, and Trevor really did an awesome job w/ it..it looked very professional. The class loved it. It was very humorous, and involved Matt dressed in his army gear (w/ facepaint) looking for the Appalcart and talking to random people and pretending someone got run over by a bus and it was fun. My group was great..I honestly could not see me having had worked w/ a group w/ other girls in it. But anyways..glad that's out of the way. Much of my week was spent doing groupwork crap..I could have gotten two papers out of the way. But I'll work on them this weekend..and study..and whatever else I have to do on my list of crap to do by the end of the semester. It is really quickly approaching. I actually got done early at work yesterday...fifteen minutes early. It was a happy time, and I helped Renee so stuff so she could get a full lunch break since she had to be there all day. I didn't even rush doing the cages. It was cool. Let's see..what else happened this week..it dawned on me only yesterday that Thanksgiving really is next week. Renee and I were trying to figure out when we were going to alternate doing cat room and cages and it dawned on me as I was leaving work that next week is Thanksgiving. Where the hell did the semester go? At least a break is on the horizon. I realized the other day how much I wanted to be out at my dad's more often. I'm not going to say here what happened and Jeff's the only person I've told, but something really bad happened out at my dad's and I'm worried about my family..so I'm going to make more of an effort to call more on a regular basis to make sure things are going okay. Basically everyone is fine..but yeah. Dad sounded more down than usual. I really wish he would go get counseling. He has a walker now..which is not good. My cousin Mikey had back surgery the other day. He has some sort of disease (I know it sounds bad but I can't remember what)and this summer he was hunched over like 90 year old man and he's only in his 30's. He had a metal rod inserted into his spine so that he can walk normally again (after rehab of course) and was having other stuff done. I told mom to tell him I said hi and to hang in there. But yeah..thats been my week. Besides that I'm sick again, and Jeff is finally better. It sucks. Hopefully I'll be better next week. Well, off to do more stuff before bed...have a good weekend everyone...
