a moment of perfection

I stepped out the door to take out the recycling and check the mail tonight. The sky was that dull patchy orange seen when low clouds mix with city lights. A chill breeze was gently rustling the leaves of the trees near and far. Lights from a jet or two could be seen skimming along the horizon, their softly distant roars mechanical purrs. A few drops of proto-drizzle hit my skin. Perfect.
