my body has been pregnant
for the last hundred years.
the festering growth inside me
eating it's way out
from inside my womb.

i feel it's poking
and proding
and pushing away
but yet i hold tight,
rubbing my bulging
stomach;
a parasitic relationship,
the kind i know best.
