An depressing but interesting story that came out of the woodwork this week....
"Did I ever tell you the story about my friend's sister? She's a surgeon for an OBGYN in Wichita. Anyway, her friend was getting married and she was standing in the wedding as a bride's maid. When she got fitted for the bride's maid dress, they had to make sure it could accommodate a Kevlar vest. The woman whose wedding she was in was Tiller's daughter."
This was on my Facebook today in relation to my Tiller-related status - I should make clear that I don't know Tiller's daughter personally. I think it just brings home the extent of Dr. Tiller and his family's commitment to women's rights, that they would plan their lives around the threat of violence and not back away from the work he was doing.
