This Public Domain Meme has been so embedded that I had no idea it came from a movie at ALL!
Other PDMs are ones that we all know are from some form of media but not sure what and don't think about it....
My example is "we don't need no stinkin badges" and it's multitude of parody/offshoots (for instance it always comes up for me with matches.)
I finally found out it's from Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
But I bet you a lot of people riff off of it and don't know where it's from. There's more examples but I just thought I'd point out this one to illustrate this simple social memetic phenomena.
