The safeway security guard

So, I was there again tonight, kind of hoping whoever I had talked to last time was confused but I talked to the cashier and asked him about the security guard and how I had heard he went to the army and he said "yeah tall black guy? He shipped about 3 weeks ago. Now we have that woman security guard over there."

"He shipped?" I repeated, and I added pointlessly "so he's already over there?"

Oh.

And the guy asked what my name was and he'd tell Kevin (I think his name is)I said hi if he called (why he'd contact safeway I don't know but maybe he was friends with that cashier) and I told him and then I amended, just tell him "the sake girl", he'll know who it is.

That place feels weird, now...my 2 late night comrades aren't there to joke with. But I know the girl works during the days now. Maybe she'll know how to get in touch with him. I'm going to go during the early shift to see if I can catch her.
I seriously miss him bugging me for sake. I mean of course it's the circumstance. If he wasn't working because he went to school in another state or something or he got the dayshift or got married and moved away...then it would more acceptable and less bittersweet and disturbing.
He's a nice guy. I hope he stays safe and alive.
