Yeah, tell me about it. They had all sorts of electronics there, and they said they are an authorized dealer. We should have driven those extra couple of miles to the mall...that is the LAST time I am giving a place like that business. They charged my boyfriend $820 for a wide angle video lens, a UV filter and a battery charger. I got all that stuff on amazon for $129.
Typing by the pool....you little punk :P LOL. Hope you're having a good time despite assholes ripping you off. What did you buy that they wouldn't take back?
Carl went in JUST to get a battery charger for his video camera and the sales guy talked him into getting a wide angle lens, a UV protector filter and also a new bag. The guy even threw in a hard luck story about how he lost his jazz club in New Orleans after Katrina and was forced to move to Florida after. He ended up charging him $820 for everything...I got the exact same items plus some from amazon for about $130 in June. I should have been more aggresive with them, but I wasn't the one who got ripped off and I am a total wuss when it comes to being a "sucky" customer.
Oh, we totally did. He got back this refute by the company playing the innocent victim saying, "BAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW!!!!!!!!! WE DISCLOSED EVERYTHIIIIIIIIIING!!!!! So, ha ha HA ha ha we covered our butts."
The issue never did get resolved favorably, but at least my rotten reviews helped a lot of people. Some even shared stories of their own.
Hehe, awesome! As much as I hate to admit it, I like to go on websites such as yelp.com and write negative reviews on businesses that try to rip me off. I am very pro-employee, but every now and then there is something that the general population needs to be warned about. On the flip side, I also like to praise and promote as much as possible.
Capital One is on my list right now because their debt collection agency keeps calling my brand new concession line and will not listen when I tell them that I am not the debtor. So, I had the number blocked and it seemed to be a quick fix.
There is also a local "psychic" I went to once for s&g purposes at a fair who tried to con my friend and I into an "aura cleansing." That one definitely made its rounds on the Internet.
