This past weekend I flew down to Chucktown for the live debut of
The Silver Bells, and it was awesome. Photos are all
a-flickr already (as are Thanksgiving Parade and Ward solo show pictures from a month ago, finally). It was sweet. Nick was great, Crystal was great, Matt, Evan, and Stephen were great. I'm so proud of them. The other bands were fine, but nobody came close to the Bells except for Cary Ann. Who was great.
The rest of the weekend was also, well, great. I went to Chick-Fil-A, G&M, the new 52.5, Cupcake, the Loaves -- pretty much everything except The One True Bridge and pralines. We rocked out on Guitar Hero 2. On Sunday we went to a Winter Solstice party thrown by Brooke's Earthfare hippie friends and it was awesome. The V-Tones played some children's music, then children banged on their instruments and it was awesome. The little children were adorable. Those pictures will be up tomorrow-ish.
I'm glad I went. December would be weird without at least a little Charleston time. Thanks for having me Nick, Brooke, and Laura!
